Champion Discounts (C.I.B. / C.I.E.)

How clubs create shows, take registrations, build catalogs and publish results in SHOWS.dog.

What is the international champion discount?

A separate entry price for dogs holding the C.I.B. or C.I.E. title. It applies only at international shows. The club decides whether these dogs enter free or get a percentage off, a fixed price or a fixed amount off. The rule can be set separately for champions from this country, foreign champions and club members' champions.

Where do I set the champion discount for all future shows?

In Settings → Features, on the "International champion discount template" card, click "Configure". This template is copied automatically into every new show whose type is "International". A Club Administrator or Secretary can change it.

How do I set or change the champion discount for one show?

In step 4 "Pricing" of the show wizard, turn on "International champion discount (C.I.B. / C.I.E.)" and click "Configure". When you create a new show, the club template is already loaded here, and you can adjust it for this show only. The setting appears only when the show type is "International".

If I change the template, do prices of shows already created change?

No. The template is copied into a show only when the show is created, so later template changes do not affect existing shows. To change the discount for an existing show, open that show's wizard and adjust it in the "Pricing" step.

Which discount types can I choose?

Free entry: the champion enters free of charge. Percentage off: the given percentage is taken off the base price. Fixed price: the champion pays the amount you set. Fixed amount off: the given amount is taken off the base price.

Which price is the discount calculated from?

Always from the first-dog price. Under "Calculated from" choose which price period to use: the one active at registration, or a specific one such as early registration. Under "Days in the base price" choose whether the price follows the number of days the dog is entered for, or a fixed number of days.

What is the difference between "Champions from this country", "Foreign champions" and "Club members' champions"?

The rule for champions from this country applies when the registrant's country matches the show's country; the foreign rule applies when it does not. This is decided automatically. The club members' rule applies when the registrant ticks that they are a member of your club at registration; the club must check and confirm such a registration. If a registrant is recognized as your club member by a valid club member card (see the "Club Members and Membership" category), the club-member rule applies automatically: they do not need to tick anything and you do not need to verify the registration.

How do I confirm a champion's club membership?

When you open such a registration, a yellow notice "Verify membership documents" is shown. After checking the documents, click "Confirm membership". If the membership is not confirmed, click "Reject" and the registration is rejected. Membership is checked for each registration separately: an earlier confirmation does not carry over to other registrations.

What if several rules fit a dog, or the regular price is lower?

Discounts do not add up: the registrant pays the lowest of the prices that apply. If the champion price is not lower than the regular price, the regular price applies. A coupon discount is applied on top, after this price is calculated.

What does a registrant need to do to get the champion price?

Before registering, the registrant must upload the C.I.B. or C.I.E. certificate on the dog's page and register through the user portal. The price is calculated automatically in the cart. The discount is not applied automatically to registrations the club enters manually; the club sets their price itself.

Does the champion discount apply at national shows?

No, only at shows whose type is "International". For other show types the setting is not shown in the wizard.
